TITO LAVOLE ‘ERASER HEAD’ MODEL FULL FEATURE

TITO LAVOLE ERASER HEAD MODEL FULL FEATURE

Our beloved Guadeloupean National Tito LaVole has his first M/SF/T Signature model, aptly named ‘ERASER HEAD’, an ode to David Lynch’s 1977 horror film of the same name. This board has been nearly 2 years in development and has taken many turns in design. It started as a round tail twin fin with flyers and a deep quad channel. It is now a thumby round square tri-quad with a hip and no channel. But Tito’s vision, combined with years of research and development, has resulted in a board that possesses lightning-fast speed, incredible responsiveness, and progressive surfing potential, while maintaining fun, rideability and forgiveness.

In many ways, Eraser Head is the continuation of our ‘Modern Cloud Control’/ ‘Diamond Dancer’ Series, a design emphasis on intuitive, free-flowing, progressive, high performance surfboard design.

Tech talk;

OUTLINE: The board features a clean, flowing outline starting with the feature snub nose, which positions in the wave beautifully, promotes effortless transitions and allows user to ride shorter board lengths. Greenough claims the snub is the “most functional high performance nose shape”. This then carries into a wider, almost parallel outline into a subtle hip near the fin area, creating a tighter turning potential. The hip is blended into a rounded square tail, offering stability, drive, and a perfect platform for landing airs.

DECK/ RAILS/ FOIL: Most of this board’s volume is distributed close to the stringer, along the centre panel, enhancing paddling and cushioning for aerial manoeuvres. The deck smoothly transitions to a medium-forgiving rail offering stability and control. This finishes out in a refined tail offering heightened sensitivity and responsiveness under your back foot.

BOTTOM CURVES: Beneath the surface, a slight rolled vee in the entry aids water penetration and displacement, meaning no catching when dropping in or climbing the face. A shallow single concave under the front foot promotes speed by propelling water through the feet, which then blends into a slight double concave for subtle lift, then to flat out of the tail for smooth transitions and controlled release.

ROCKER: A medium nose rocker offers solid paddle power and reduces catching during big hacks or airs. Low tail rocker ensures exceptional drive, balanced by this single-to-double-to-flat bottom curve for seamless transitions.

The Eraser Head is a wonderful blend of timeless design and progressive engineering, which creates effortless and intuitive rideability and the highest of performance surfing potential. This is the board for NOW.

Model comes standard as a tri/ quad setup.
