Makua Rothman Nuovo video a casa per l'inverno

Makua Rothman è un uomo molto mondana. Ha avuto Primati, Titoli mondiali e viaggia ancora in tutto il mondo con la migliore competizione del mondo del Big Wave World Tour. He also just snagged one of the biggest waves ever at Cloudbreak. But if he were to abandon all that, and just stay at home, he wouldn’t be sacrificing that much. Because his home is Hawaii. And his family is surfing royalty. And his best performances usually happen right here in the Islands.

Makaukai Rothman is an American big wave rider, professional surfer and musician. He is a good representation of the Hawaiian surfing ideal. Strong and stoic, a man to whom family and friends mean the world. His last name carries weight. He surfs giant waves, medium waves, and small waves. He is tough but plays the ukulele while crooning gently. He spends his life mostly in the ocean. Hawaiian culture drips off him, and he’s proud of it. There is nowhere else he’d rather be than home, and his highlight reel shows why.

Before he was 10-years-old, Makua was surfing some of Hawaii’s notable and biggest waves, including Pipeline and Sunset Beach. When Makua was eight, he surfed 12-foot Waimea waves, an unusual feat for one so young. As he was pounded by the large waves, onlookers held their breath until Rothman suddenly popped up in the turbulent whitewater. It was this single event that bolstered his confidence in big-wave conditions.

By the time he was 13, Rothman had emerged as one of Hawaii’s most promising young surfers. Surrounded by legends of surfing who he credits as role models who instilled him values of leadership and respect.

Just a week ago, Makua Rothman tried to surf the biggest wave of the century, but it was not quite right. Rothman, decided to climb what for many was the biggest wave in the history of the Fiji Islands and one of the most giant ever recorded on video.

The event happened during the Maxing Cloudbreak, in which the 33-year-old man was beaten with extreme rudeness by the wave. Many of those present thought that Rothman had not been able to survive such an accident. But seconds later, he managed to emerge and leavealmost unharmed.

I trained for a year and I’m happy to have been in good condition, but, maybe, I would not be here with my family and friends,” the surfer said.

Hot off charging one of the largest waves at cloudbreak ever, Makua Rothman has released his winter footage, reigning from his native breaks in hawaii. Makua is a madman with style and poise. While the waves submerge inside the rest of those present, Makua seems to float on them, almost supernatural
