@Cre8iveSignWorks Unfortunately, there are exceptions to just about anything. But, by and large, hunters don’t kill animals for no reason and they don’t tolerate others doing it either. People who do that crap are just thrill killers, they’re an insult to the vast majority of hunters, and I have no problem reporting them to CalTip. Also, you might want to look into the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act (aka, the Pittman-Robertson Act) to see what hunter $ alone has done for wildlife.

Well, it depends. My personal experience is that Benellis/Berettas are far more reliable shotguns than their American counterparts. The only American made semi-auto I would consider buying would be the Browning Maxus. On the other hand, I would buy an Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 (pumps) as well as Smith & Wesson products.
@danieldefenseM4 It’s a Benelli M2 Field with Max-4 camo. I also have a Remington 870 Super Mag, which I’ve cycled way more shots through and has proven to be a very reliable workhorse.
@chaaaBOI It’s part of the 116,00 acre Suisun marsh in California. It’s the largest brackish marsh on the US’s west coast. This particular club has lots of Tules with scattered ponds connected by skinny waterways. Proper management has maintained an extremely healthy and productive ecosystem.

@fabiobit Some of my best days fishing haven’t involved catching fish. For me, there’s much more to it than that. Maybe it’s a beautiful sunrise, sighting a bobcat sneaking in for a quick drink, watching Osprey have more luck than I ever will, hearing birds / frogs / lapping water / wind rustling leaves, it’s endless… Just being out there and taking it all in is what it’s all about for me. The same scenario can be said for hunting. Sounds like fishing just isn’t your thing, and that’s okay.

Crap, at first time I though it’s a game!
The one thing I didn’t see was any video of the hunter actually shooting. I have tried every way imaginable to keep my camera from moving while shooting, but the acceleration from the recoil of the gun cannot be handled by the camera mounting hardware. You just can’t get it tight enough. I have even asked the GoPro staff for help with this problem, as I would love to do some video of my hunts. The only response I have ever received from GoPro on this, is “Sorry we cannot help you with that”.

@jazzmessenger8 There is enough ducks to harvest that no harm (6 bird limit)(birds are not shot in mating season) will be done to the population, and most all duck hunters eat all the meat off of every duck and make sure no meat is wasted.

@HuntTrap13 I attached a flat adhesive mount, just behind my receiver’s ejection port, and used a pivot arm assembly with a short quick-release buckle to mount the camera to it. In this video I was also wearing a Head Strap Mount, and my dog was wearing a Chest Mount Harness. I custom camoed my housings.
I use a Handlebar Seatpost Mount to attach my GoPro to my compound bow (typically to the riser – aiming towards me or downrange – or to the stabilizer). All the mounts are GoPro mounts.

Regulating populations by organized hunting, is required for the conservation of species, in order for them to survive. If you didn’t regulate by the taking of a species through hunting, you would end up with disease, that could wipe out entire populations. These GoPro cams SUCK in a big way. The video’s you see are enhanced with editing programs. THEY DON’T LOOK LIKE THIS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE CAMERA!!! The sound quality isn’t what you hear on this video!! Thank god I was able to return this piece of junk.
@wyttale i haven’t had a problem with mine. these guys are probably using the top of the line ones but my 960 HD works great.
what sort of harness did you use to mount the gopro on your dog… want to do the same thing with mine. cheers.

@wyttale The only thing you said that I agree with is that the videos don’t look like this straight out of the camera. They actually look much better when I connect my camera straight to my TV. YouTube compression definitely lowers their quality.

@AustinLittle14 I paused the video & it looks to the suction cup mount. I have a GoPro & the suction cup needs a good clean surface to attach to. Not sure how they were able to get it that far up on the guns butt yet still have it hold. I have looked into picatinny rail mounts as well may be an option for anyone using a AR-15, shotgun etc

@LifesTooFast I saw it. It wasn’t what I expected, very foreign to me, very surreal. There are several segments. Google “This Is War: Watch the Libyan Revolution Explode through the Lens of a Helmet Cam” if you’re really interested. War sucks. I personally like the videos on GoPro’s channel more.

I would still love to know if there is a specific mount used for this shotgun… I don’t think it is the suction cup because the base of it looks smaller than the suction cup and the suction cup won’t fit on my shotgun there… i tested it… please let me know if there is something specific!

@iwillfish4life a shotgun fires pellets (aka BBs if you want) out of shells, a rifle fires bullets from then end (sorta) of shells unless you are useing a black powder rifle or another type of muzzle loader you are fireing your projectile from a shell

I want to start filming my bowhunts, and i would like to film my fishing trips from my kayak.. i was thinking about getting this, and probably will, but i was worried that i wouldnt be able to get very good footage of the deer from more than 15 yards or so..but it would probably be fine cuz i shoot most my deer under 15 yards. but has anybody used them for deer huntin??

Brackish water, but mostly fresh. Levees surround it. Tidal slews with fresh water rivers meeting them on either side of the club. Its water circulation is well managed, creating very healthy habitat/water inside. Wish more clubs followed this practice.
Fishing is freshwater, if that’s what you meant.
I dipped it myself. I got some of it on the buttons and seals, so it probably compromised true underwater protection at depth, but I don’t plan on dropping my gun in the water ;o)

I used a GoPro Chest Mount Harness (my lab’s about 75lbs). I attached a short leash from the leash point on the camera’s housing (at the center of the steel pin that hinges the housing’s door) to the mount itself. Probably a good idea – especially with her ripping through the tules, etc. The Chesty probably can’t cinch down enough to use on dogs much smaller, maybe 55lbs or more, not sure. But I love seeing what she does – sometimes I just just let her go explore the woods then play it back.

I love the mount on the dog. I’m an avid duck hunter myself, and would love to have that dog mount for my lab!!! Where can I find one?
I kind of feel like I’m being pandered to due to the decision not to include any actual kill shots. We’re a market who’s money GoPro has, but apparently not at the expense of possible g off any anti hunters.

they come with a waterproof case, you can buy other accessories. The black edition is the best, dont buy anything less because its not worth it. You can buy seperate mounts and stuff. the black comes with a remote also. all captured media is professional quality+ 720-1080p 30-60frames per second.

If you want to put your gopro on your shotgun, use the Sportsman mount
GoPro is not very good for hunting videos. It’s case reflects the sun and it muffles the sound.
+TheAirSofter Go Pro would have been a good choice when I was SCUBA Diving and doing underwater video but for the videos I do now it just would not work for me.
Go pro hero… Black water proof to 131 feet and better then that canera and did i say its only $129
The Fujifilm XP70 is less than half the price of a GoPro and is waterproof to 33ft, speakers and all, without the housing. It’s a good choice for someone on a budget.
The Blackout Housing blends into the environment and, if the camera’s not going to get wet or too dusty, you can use a skeleton backdoor for good audio

I love how there is absolutely no video of anyone actually hurting something on a hunting trip. I mean, heaven forbid we’d actually see a hunter kill something. It doesn’t fit in with our proto-liberal, environmentalism, love of the outdoors. That’s why in places like where I live and hunting was so prevalent that 20 years ago they used to teach hunter safety at school, now yuppies with fly rods look at hunters with disdain and call the police on us every chance they get.
